30 Days To Financial Fitness from How to Get out of debt fast

Esther Pinkston · Wednesday, August 20th 2008 at 12:47AM · 1941 views
All you have to do as a first step is to take a much-needed and astonishingly simple four-week vacation from spending.
Let's call it a diet-low-cash, everyone will feel sorry for you and at the same time envy your willpower.
This one-month financial fast will give you time to get caught up.
It won't be painless.
It will mean brown bag lunches, no new clothes, walking to work if you can- in other words, no frills.
Austerity hurts, but for most people it's the surest way to get a fast increase in cash.
The first step is to set a date to begin your money diet, such as the first payday of the month. Lawrence Krause, author of Sleep Tight Money, suggests the following plan:
Set a goal for the money you are going to save.
Decide to pay off a big chunk of your credit card debt or a bunch of overdue bills, or start an interest-bearing savings account."
WOW! What do YOU Think?
I come to Thee.

Esther: I know for a fact this actually works. I have used this diet and became debt free. But I have to say be cautious of your habits to stay that way. It's so easy to become overload again. It's kinda like losing and gaining weight. You have to watch what you eat, as well as how you spend and charge up your credit cards. Thanks for your great advice. It keeps me on my toes....!

Thanks Miisrael Shields, this is what we need to know. I have done a 30 day mental cleanse from negativity and my life will never be the same. You don't realize what all you have allowed to enter your mind, body and soul until you are away from it for a while. I now don't feed on the news 24/7 but on more personal development, Bible reading, anything that can build my spirit up and can build up others. The negative will always be there and if you feed on "I Can't" long enough you "won't".
Can you tell us what made you do the money diet?
