IF THESE WALLS COULD SPEAK

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak of the torment would they speak of the
shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak of a father touching his child would
they speak of the shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak of the beatings would they speak of the
shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak of the knock down drag out arguments
would they speak of the shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak of the attempted suicides would they
speak of the shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak to my tormentor to tell him to hell with
his pain.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak to the tormented to tell her feel no shame.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say
would they speak and say that the shame and torment has
never been yours to bare for the LORD has always been
there.

If these walls could speak, I wonder what would they say.

I really like this poem because it talks about the realness of the secrets of what walls really hold within our houses even our hearts.

This was deep. I like this poem. Because no one really knows the secrets that you have behind closed doors. This was real!
