The Black Journalists Association in Southern California is offering apprenticeships to

college students this summer.

The Flyer won't load...so here is what it says:

The Black Journalists Association of

Southern California is offering two eight-week

apprenticeships to college students interested

in getting experience this summer in reporting,

writing and social media marketing.

Apprentices will work 12-15 hours a week

for eight weeks and will be paid a modest

stipend to cover incidentals (such as travel).

Apprentices should be prepared to aggregate

content and report on public affairs issues

for BJASC’s website, as well as promote

that content and other content on

our social media platforms.

Apprentices also will have an opportunity to

shadow reporters, photographers and editors

at the Los Angeles Wave newspaper to

get a practical understanding of

newsroom operations.

Interested parties should send a resume, 3-5 writing samples and a

short cover letter to Xavier Higgs at xhiggs@gmail.com.

Applications must be received by May 29, 2015. For more information,

e-mail xhiggs@gmail.com.
