KILLEEN, Tex. — A soldier who was being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder opened fire at Fort Hood on Wednesday, killing three people and wounding 16 before killing himself, the authorities said. The shooting set off a huge police response and shut down the sprawling Army base, the same facility where a deadly rampage by an officer resulted in 13 deaths in 2009. ...

The Disenfranchised Veteran Soldiers: America's Trojan Horse?

There is no one nation powerful enough to invade the US, but like the Trojan Horse those soldiers who feel Disrespected are all amongst us and they have been trained by the best to do just that, Destroy.

Do you really compare this Mental Health crisis amongst our Veterans to Trojan Horse? It's sad what's happening with the VA and how poorly our Vets are being denied timely and the best care. How long dies it take to diagnose PTSD?

I was diagnosed the first day I saw the Psychiatrist and prescribed medicine. It's really unfair that we are failing these men and women on so many levels. Did you hear that some bases are closing the Commissaries?

Greetings Jen, I applaud you and feel for all of those who are serving and have served our country.

I feel there will be those who will not accept being disenfranchised, for an example, for whatever his reasons was Timothy James "Tim" McVeigh was an American veteran who detonated a truck bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995.

Imagine if a band of veterans decided to do the same. Our government has to better for our veterans soldiers and their families.

Jen..very sad news. However, do you recall the "Luby" massacre... in the late '80s or early 90's? Gunman shot 50+ people of which 23 died. I believe that happened at Ft. Hood as well. My late Mother husband works there, he was in touch with the family last night. The entire base was on lock down... mercifully he was not injured and many others.

Earl, I don't remember that shooting. I wasn't as aware of what was going on around me as I am now, but that event ax well as this event is sad. I'm happy your stepfather was uninjured.

Hi Ivan! Nice to hear from you regarding this one of many burst of violence happening all over the world including the States. It makes my heart ache to know how our veterans are being treated. In my mind, this shooting was preventable and the system failed that soldier and so many others.

How many more soldiers have to suffer?
