Shouldn't Black History Month Be About Celebrating? Why Does It Feel Like Black HateStory Month

Each year in February, I have to endure one post after another here on BIA filled about slavery and a whole lot of whatnot; it's too much at times for my soul to bear. I found history boring in school & whether it's Black or Europeans' history.... The fact IS, it's STILL boring! A bunch of dates and facts about FACTS. Duh!

Is it not enough to have to endure dull posts all throughout the year? We need CHANGE we can believe in ... Something different from the status quo of what's always being posted, debated about on Connect Platform Sites in February. Please people, I beseech you by the mercies of God... Stop it and post some interesting, uplifting, and encouraging material. It's suppose to be a CELEBRATION!

Jen, much as we try, some things are hard get away from. And some things need a little twist to spark. Good message. Some here who read it will hear it. :)

I know right! Did you see the Saturday Night Live (SNL) Black History Parody? If not, I posted a link to the news section last week.
