BOXING GREAT KEN NORTON, SR LEAVES HIS LIFE
Boxing Ken Norton will remain remembered for the time of history for defeating the Champ Muhammad Ali in the fight of the century in 1973. Norton departed his life on September 18, 2013 at the age of 70 years old.
Norton led a very active life of ups and downs but proved to be a stern man of survival. Norton, Sr. was hospitalized for rehabilitation after suffering a stroke. He is also the father of Ken Norton, Jr. who is residing coach for the Seattle Seahawks which kept his focus on his love of the sport of football and following closely in his father's footsteps to carry on the Norton name. In later years Norton, Sr. became less active in media coverage disappeared behind the scenes of retirement from boxing.
