50 years ago today on August 28, 1963, the historic March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom took center stage in our nation's capital. An estimated 250,000 men, women, children, young, old, poor, rich, black, white, brown, yellow, red and purple – gathered on the National Mall in Washington DC. Looking out over the sea of faces filled with hope, promise and dreams – political and protest songs were song, addresses were made and; the iconic and eloquently improvised "I Have A Dream" speech was delivered by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

But, today's dreams are of even greater freedom,
broader equality and real justice for all.

Today, 50 years later many of the children and grandchildren of the original marchers will sojourn to the Nation’s capital and many more will participate virtually through the advances of technology (i.e. social media, cell phones, live web feeds). These new marchers (and many of the original marchers) will gather together with most of same dreams and visions as did the 1963 marchers.
