Hello & Greetings, Fellow HBCUers!

I am Ashli McLean, recipient of over $100,000 in college scholarships and an adviser to parents and students in the areas of college planning and post-secondary education consulting. My expertise lies within scholarships and financial aid.

So many times, I was discouraged about my financial situation while in college- not knowing where the money was going to come from to pay for my tuition, room & board, books, and other fees. But through diligence and faith, I won scholarship after scholarship! And now, my mission is to assist all who are looking to attend college DEBT-FREE!

I provide the necessary education, knowledge, tools and resources via the following:

1) My published book titled “$100,000 and Counting: A Faith-Based Guide to Winning College Scholarships” is loaded with academic advice, scriptural references, self-help principles, college financial planning information and my story of winning scholarships while trusting God to continue to meet my financial needs during my college tenure. It includes:

* Understanding of the FAFSA, scholarships, grants, and other sources of financial aid
* Key principles of winning college scholarships
* Scholarship resources & listings
* How to write the winning scholarship essay
* Academic and extracurricular factors associated with winning scholarships
* Money wisdom for college planning
* Special information for parents

**Find more information on my website at www.100kdollarsandcounting.blogspot.com**

2) Presenting to and educating parents and students on scholarships and financial aid through mini-workshops

3) Providing one-on-one Scholarships Coaching to help students secure non-debt funding for college:

* One-on-one coaching on how to best access and win college scholarships
* Analyze the student's school of interest/acceptance, major of study, degree, and career aspirations in an effort to determine scholarships he/she should focus on
* Research and provide actual scholarships for the student to apply for
* Assistance with filling out the scholarship application packet
* Keep the student focused and on track with upcoming scholarship deadlines

I would love to support you, your children, and your communities in any of the aforementioned areas. Please let me know how I can be of service!

You can find more information about financial aid and scholarships, myself, my services, as well as the ability to purchase a copy of "$100,000 and Counting" on my website at www.100kdollarsandcounting.blogspot.com.

ASHLI MCLEAN!!! Look at how far you've come since I met you as a young pup at Monster's Diversity Leadership Program! Congrats on your scholarships and your efforts. You should network with a young lady by the name of Shayla Price, who is also in the $100,000 club. She's a graduate of Southern University's Law Center, as well as the campus in Baton Rouge. You two could teach a lot of students a thing or two about putting effort into scholarship searches. Again, congrats!!!

Great. Also, allow me to connect you with a fellow Hamptonian by the name of Halima Leak. She's one of my colleagues at Paul Quinn College. I'm not sure if you're Greek but she's a Zeta, as well. Most importantly, she's the executive director of our Center for Fundraising and Philanthropy, the only one of its kind at an HBCU. Feel free to surprise her with an email at hleak@pqc.edu and tell her Eddie sent ya. LOL
