Dear Participant,

My name is Jacquelyn Johnson and I am a 5th year graduate student in the Clinical Psy.D. program at the University of La Verne in southern California. I am conducting my dissertation research on the unique experiences of African American women. More specifically, I am interested in how gender and ethnic/racial identities interact with one another. This research seeks to understand African American women’s attitudes and perceptions on topics such as stereotypes, experiences of racism and s*xism, and interracial relations.

The on-line survey is completely free and confidential, and takes between 30-45 minutes to complete. You will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for one of 50 $20 Target gift cards. The only requirement is that you be at least 18 years of age.

This project has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at the University of La Verne. If you have any questions or concerns about the research, please feel free to contact Jacquelyn Johnson at (323) 273-9754, jacquelyn.johnson@laverne.edu, Principal Investigator, and/or Glenn Gamst, Ph.D. (909) 593-3511 ext. 4176, Faculty Sponsor.
