KRAVE Magazine Kover Search Sponsorship Packages Available
The Kover Search Kontest for KRAVE Magazine is currently underway. We have chosen the 10 semi-finalists. Our Kravers (readers/supporters) will be the ones to vote to choose the winner. The three finalists will be chosen and the kover winner will be revealed at the 4th Annual Black & Kover Search Release Party on 7-21-12.
KRAVE Magazine is a men's fashion magazine for men of color and KRAVE Fit is the fitness magazine for the health and fitness enthusiast without all the fluff. We are a magazine that not only focus on fashion and fitness; we give back to the community. We have adopted Wilmer Hutchins high school, in Dallas Texas.
Last year, we held "The Makings of a King" essay writing Kontest. This was a contest for young men to write an essay to tell what makes a man a "King". There were three chosen out of 10 and these three were given a full photo shoot with our celebrity photographer and was featured in the magazine with their essay. These young men were so happy that they were chosen. Since then they have encouraged other young men to change the way they dress and think; and all of three have gone on to college.
Our last venture was this April, mentoring & helping them to host their first annual "Rip the Hallway Fashion Show". This was a fashion show put on by the students to show how you can dress as a student in high school on and off campis, without the guys sagging their pants and without young ladies wearing tight and short clothing; also, how to be fashionable on the college campus. It was great success, they are already planning the 2nd annual.
In January 2012, we revealed our "2012 King of Hearts" Kalendar". This Kalendar represented 12 men that were in the past 12 issues of the magazine. These men, are business owners, leaders, young beginning models. At the end of each photo shoot, each model took a crown shot. At that time, we did not know what we would do with those shots. By the 8th shot, we decided to do a calendar and do it in honor of the Publisher, William Young, Jr.'s father, who passed away with Cancer and portion of the proceeds would go to local charities and individuals in need. This was the first and we will be continuing this, since there was a great support for the cause of "cancer".
October 2011, KRAVE Fit did its first Annual Pink Issue, in that issue we featured Ebony Steele, radio personality & I wrote about my dear friend who is a guy that had breast cancer, to show men that it is not just a woman’s disease; he also allowed me to share photos of his lumpectomy.
So we are big on giving back to the community, showing our young men and ladies there are more to life than just becoming a sports star and singing & supporting these causes that has affected not only the publisher's life, my life & one other staff members, so they have hit us very close to home.
We have three packages available for a business and/or organization to gain exposure.
