When We’re Busy Beyond Belief,

When life Dishes Out Its Challenges,

Where Do We Turn?

Where Do We Place Our Trust?

Often It’s A friend, A Parent, A Husband,

A Colleague. Or It’s Food’ Drink,

s*x Or Other Quick Fixes That Dull Our

Senses.



Unfortunately These Painkillers-Whether

They’re Labeled “Good” Or “Bad” For Us-

Don’t Offer Lasting Peace And Satisfaction.



If We Place Our Trust In These Things They

Will Eventually Disappoint Or Destroy Us.



The Lord Tells Us To Stop Trusting In People

And The Work Of Our Hands.



Humans Are Mortal, And Things Are Temporary.

Idols Melt In The Heat Of The Day.



In Contrast, God Is Immortal, Permanent

And Eternally Trustworthy.

He Is A Safe Haven For His People’s That

Trust In Him In Good Times And Bad.

{ Isa 2:22 }
