Suspicious: A Short Story

Victoria and Travis Bell have only one goal and that is to have wealth, power and a
golden position in One True Worship, the third largest church in the Detroit area.
In order to have this accomplished, they convinced their youngest daughter, Naomi to
have Pastor Kyle Smith, a famous preacher of a multi-billion dollar family, fall in love and
married her by any means necessary.
God-fearing Naomi does everything a Christian woman is supposed to do. She attends
all her church service, functions and she even help out when asked. Two months into meeting the
Pastor, Victoria and Travis are so happy to see that Naomi finally has the Pastor eating out her
hands.
But Naomi has a secret! She tried her best to hide it from her family and the
congregation…that was until her mother got suspicious of Naomi and the Pastor’s relationship
that leads her to do a little snooping around. This secret that Victoria uncovers is enough to ruin
hers and Travis’ dreams of getting the position they so eagerly wanted as well as having their
daughter married of to a prestige family!
