I Can't Get No...Satisfaction...But I Tried God

The world is turning, churning and groaning for the manifestation of the sons to be revealed. There is a spiritual tapping on the shoulder of those who are in sonship with Jesus Christ. This is the Lenten Season where the sons and daughters are to be devoted to introspection (self examination) and consecration--dedicating mind, will and emotion, body, soul and spirit to God. Our focus and goal should be to bring ourselves into a place of holiness and right standing with Him through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. Time in the scriptures, fasting and prayer is the perfect vehicle to get us there.

In the midst of our ceremonial dedication to the Season, a little dissatisfaction is bound to creep in. There are so many who are disgruntled, disheartened, discouraged, disenfranchised, dismayed and just downright 'dissed." Your time, talent, and tenacity seems to work for a moment or for a circumstance. And just when you're about to exhale, here comes another circumstance to take the wind out of your sails.

When it seems like all the earthly things or random favor from mankind brings some resolution to your ills, you find that it yields only temporary satisfaction. Then the lyrics from the classic rock song rings in you ears, wrenches your heart or turns your stomach... I Can't Get No... Satisfaction.

Even the scriptures say this is going to happen:
You have planted much but harvested little. You have food to eat, but not enough to fill you up. You have wine to drink, but not enough to satisfy your thirst. You have clothing to wear, but not enough to keep you warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes! Haggai 1:6 (NLT)

Our you might be bound up by addictions, compulsions and wicked distractions where you have lost all sense of reasoning:
"They will throw away their money, tossing it out like worthless trash. It won't buy their deliverance in that day of the LORD's anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their love of money made them stumble into sin. Ezekiel 7:19 (NLT)
Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful desires will harvest the consequences of decay and death. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. Galatians 6:8 (NLT)

But God has words of encouragement for those of you who will sincerely cast your cares upon Him and seek Him through prayer, praise and worship:
And as Christ's soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army. 2 Timothy 2:4
For God sent Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to satisfy God's anger against us. We are made right with God when we believe that Jesus shed his blood, sacrificing his life for us. God was being entirely fair and just when he did not punish those who sinned in former times. Romans 3:25

When you reverence and honor God with your whole heart, He has abundant satisfaction for you.
I will satisfy them with a long life and give them my salvation. Psalms 91:16 (NLT)

Then you will be able to say then exhale with joy:
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives. Psalms 90:14
When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. Psalms 145:16
You satisfy me more than the richest of foods. I will praise you with songs of joy. Pslams 63:5
