What is really going on in America. Illegal immigrants - that term seems to have no meaning. My daughter came into my room last wek , crying , saying " Her teacher told her she {my daughter} may not be attending her school next year because tuition was being raised from $26,000 to $32,000". When my daughter told me that , I hit the roof. My daughter attends a school for Gifted and Talented Kids . I sat down and wrote out a check for $50,000 to the school and told my daughter to take it to that teacher the next day . I told her to tell her teacher, My Daddy said , "He doesn't care if this school cost $100,000 a year , i'm attending and graduating from this school". Then I went down to school , had a meeting with the Powers to Be and blasted them out . Then today , I see where illegal immigrants are getting a tuition break. Some of these old judges needs to retire from the Judicial System. Felons can't get grants to go to school and better themselves but a illegal can . This nonsense has to stop some where.

A A A Posted November 16, 2010 8:59 AM Immigration news continues to dominate national headlines, and on Monday, the news was out of the state of California - a hot bed for immigration discussions and legislation. The California Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday illegal aliens are eligible for in-state college tuition, not higher rates charged out-of-state students.
Justice Ming W. Chin in the court's opinion said California law, which guarantees lower tuition to those students who attend and graduate from high schools in the state, does not conflict with a federal ban against giving illegal immigrants educational benefits based on state residency.
The Los Angeles Times said California is one of several states that allow illegal immigrants lower college tuition when they graduate from state high schools. The newspaper said about 25,000 illegal aliens get in-state tuition rates in California.
An anti-illegal immigration group filed a lawsuit contending the California law violated the federal ban on giving educational benefits to illegal aliens, but not to all U.S. citizens, based on residency. The challenge was successful in a lower court, but the state appealed.
The Times said college students who are illegally in the United States are excluded from federal financial aid programs, and the U.S. Supreme Court is expected eventually to rule on whether the lower tuition rates also violate federal law.
