Women Raising Boys ... Alone
I Can Help You Help Your Son(s)…The Way I Helped Mine.
The Story Below Is True…
My son was at one time in trouble at school and refused to do his school work, but he instead either played or fought all day at school. I would make him do his entire day’s school work at the kitchen table when he got home after school. He was becoming angrier at the world and was on his way to become a statistic of our court system. After all, our Department of Corrections is in large part the keeper of those who never made it out of childhood anger. One day, when he was eight years old, I asked him how he felt when he went to school. He said to me,”You know when I walk through those big yellow doors, all my powers leave me and I just feel doomed.” I was not the smartest man in the world, but I was smart enough to know that I HAD to do something different, or prepare myself to watch my son live out his life as another angry misfit destined for gang membership, jail or most regrettably, death before his life really began. I had to DO something…and I did.
Fast forward to age 13. I had liver disease and was unable to work and was bedridden. This same young man went to work and gave ALL of his money to us to help pay the bills. Ten years later, he was still helping his father out financially…in fact, he bought my first cell phone and paid the bill for almost two years before I was able to take over. My son bought me a very expensive laptop so that I could continue my writing because he believed in my work. I had no money at the time, so he also sent me an allowance every month. One day, I asked him why he did what he did for me and he said, ”Dad, you saved me when I was down…I will never forget that”. This was a phone conversation while I was in another state. I still cry when I think of that moment…I will always cry.
Today, he is a successful young man who has a wife and two kids of his own. You should see him with our grand kids. They are living the “American Dream”. If you are really serious and want to reach your son(s) in a powerful, profound way, come to my ”Women Raising Boys…Alone” Seminar and learn my simple approach to raising a son. You don’t have to be a father to raise your son(s). Come…and you will not be the same person when you leave.
I normally charge for this lecture through my company, Sohaja Publishing & Lecturing Company, however, I am now offering it for free through Dr. Kristal Owens, of The Empowerment Center located in the DC area.

What a powerful testimony Brother Sami and I applaud you for rescuing your son from the inevitable grips of the streets. I hope that someone hear will read your blog and take your offer for help. We are losing too many of our children to the streets, violence, and prisons. God bless you.
