Why do people distance themselves and tell you they care, when you become ill

In the last ten years I have watched and heard ever caring thought or words from family, friends and associates. The truth is not even five are there for me when I need them. For years, I was there and opened my home for people and their issues. As of today if I get company twice a year its amazing. I'm always going to others homes and their events.
In the last month I am tired of getting into my wheelchair to travel to have company around me. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

You are a very strong woman, and you just made my day today. The same thing happens to me but in other ways. It seems like I try to help people, but they take from you, and then when you are down on your luck they are nowhere to be found.

I can relate to being used and taken for granted thus the utter depravity of the human nature. I did some readjustments in the way I conduct my relationships differently; I now live by the law of reciprocity. If a person doesn't call me back when I call them~~~ then they will not be getting any calls from me.

If a person neglects to visit me after I have visited them, then guess what ~~~ no more visits. It's just that simple. I'm learning that I don't need users and people who take me for granted. I'm much too important for that kind of treatment.

I talk to God, I read books, I do things alone if I have to. I'm alright by myself.
