Bountiful AND Abundantly
First, let’s look at the definition of abundant. Webster defines “abundant” as marked by great plenty (as of resources), a fair and abundant land or amply supplied and “bountiful” as liberal in bestowing gifts or FAVORS.
When we read Luke 6:38 we learn if we “give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Keep in mind if your hand is close, not only can nothing go out but also, nothing can get in. If you are not reaping a harvest of blessings, then you may want to check the seeds that you have planted.
Jesus clearly speaks to us and lets us know that we should prosper in all that we do. Doesn’t matter if it is ministry, teaching school or being a mechanic; we have the power to be successful. “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)” If we do all of these things to HIS glory, regardless of how big or small, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthian 10:31)”, God will be right there in the midst of it. He will honor you. He will bless you. You can and will receive the “bountiful & abundant” life that God has promised you.
We need to be like Peter and "get off the boat." If you stay on the boat, you may perish. If you take a chance and get off the boat, there are mountains of possibilities. Doors will open that you never even considered. You must take the first step. It's like I always say "if you do want you've always done, and then your result will remain the same." Get off the boat and start living your "Bountiful and Abundant" life. God wants you to enjoy his blessings and so do I.
