Ladies have you heard the famous line when your children think they are grown and you are trying to prevent them from doing something that will hurt them and they tell you but I'm 18 and you say SO this is my house and they dare to say that they don't need us they have friends and they actually think that the world doesn't have rules and they can do what they want to do and when they want to do it so laides I told my child that they were welcome to go see the world and find out becuase we have rules and if they can't follow them there's the door

Nope! You did the right thing. Is your child still there? Ha!
I am sure they would miss home cooked meals and the luxuries that home provides. It's sad how the system works against the values and morals that we are trying to instill in our children with little subliminal messages like the 18 rule. I wonder why they don't feel these 18 year olds are responsible to buy alcohol for themselves if they are so grown?

We have to pray to the Almighty God to help us as parents in this society that tells us how to raise our kids, but even they (the govt) can't handle the ones they already have in foster care and in juvenile detention. It's just sad, but God knows and he is our strength and he will strengthen you. God bless you, because I know it isn't easy!

P.S. My 5 year old is just beginning and he's already reporting me to his father. Ha!
