[Estelle’s new single “Freak.” The video is causing quite a bit of stir because Estelle dons dark makeup. But folks are mad calling it ‘black face.’ Estelle doesn’t see the big deal because, well, she’s black. I don’t see the big deal either. I don’t particularly care for the video but I love the house beat going on. Thoughts?]
I think Black face is wrong and no one should use this type of degrading mockery of Black people. We've come a long way and apparently Estelle wants to take us back.
