What happened to the unity and love black people had for one another???

Hello everyone, has anyone noticed the demeanor that black people have towards one another? Especially the young generation..I'm a young black woman and I've noticed that the unity and relationship between black people is not the same as it use to be. During the civil rights era, even before and after, black people were united. But in today's society, I feel that is not the case. I feel like we have lost our sense of togetherness and love for one another. In the past, black people united and stuck together through all the trials and tribulations they faced. In the past, we had people like Martin Luther King, Malcom X, the Black Panthers and so many more herioc people and groups. These pepople and groups had an immense impact on the black community ,and made the unity between black people stronger. I believe we have came along way, but we still have along way to go. I feel that in today's society we are greatly lacking this unity.

Black Love is Self Love , without It, their will never be A Love Of A group. Everyone wants to pursue the Almighty Dollar , nobody has time for the Betterment of the Community. Forget the Children , which will be our next Leaders. Forget my Brotherman that has the Law, lying , deceiving and tricking Him from all angles. Forget the Young Women and explaining the The Meaning of Planned Parenthood. Let the children grow up angry , mislead and uneducated. We have become Slaves to a new master- The Dollar.

I couldn't have said it any better!..Instead of pursuing the almighty God and establishing a relationship with him, most people are pursuing the almighty dollar.

I've heard of the unity that we had during Civil Rights, because of the stories I have heard from my relatives who experienced life during those times. I wish that we could be better united rather than the false sense of unity we like to pretend we have when we can't even greet one another when we see one another.

I do agree that chasing the $$$$ has alot to do with it, but there are other factors like selfishness and loss of our own culture.
