I enjoyed reading this blog. I also witness the lack of self respect women have for themselves. It appears that the younger generation of women lack guidness and self respect. I'm a young black woman and I witness the way young women caring themselves and the way the dress. Like you said Locd Beauty, women dress like they are in an hip-hop video. What about happened to the days when black women believed their bodies were a gift and should be cherised. Now days, young women treat their bodies like its a s*x object. I'm not saying all young women act this way but a lot of them do. This saddens my heart because we have came to far in our black history to have these type of events happen.
@Hannah Tea I don't doubt we were meant for good but the sin that seeps through our human flesh is far from good in fact it is foul and unruly which is why we as black people are in the state we are in. Lots of young people are influenced by their surroundings and entertainment whether we like it or ot. They aren't listen to Precher so and so they listening to rapper so and so and R&B so and so. That's the REALITY. I pray we start being good to one another but right now hat is simply not happening on a regular basis, but we as women of Yah and his uplifting love can make it a reality. I am mentoring some young ladies tonight at my bible study I start with my community and hope to inspire others to do so to. Each one, teach one and our world will then become a better place.

I appreciate this blog, because it is one that is so needed. Hopefully the situation will get better for us. Its a sad state of affairs amongst us when we can't give and receive a compliment. I was at work last night and I was commenting to another sister regards how 'buff' her guy has become in the past year since I last saw him. She spoke in an unfriendly tone stating yeah it's because he works out. I also noticed that when I try to ask of her family I can ask of the kids, but when it comes to her man --- she changes her demeanor. I'm a happily married woman myself with children so to ask how one's family is doing is a good thing and means if the family is well then the person should be well. It may not necessarily be the case, but generally it is for most people.
