Once BLACK MALE get it together in America...BLACK WOMEN...WILL... follow !

Black Americans are in a sad condition in America. We are divided by religion, class, skin color and education. Some scholars of academia have pointed to complex reasons for our predicament. Actually, the answer is very SIMPLE. It is so much easier to blame our brother for ourown misfortune. It is so much easier to take our anger for the way American society is treating us on our own brother. He is closer..right next door....and our sentencing at court is shorter. Our brother is an easy escapegoat. Many sisters have almost given up on us brothers. Look at Diana Ross and Halle Berry to name just a few. There are all of these black women helping black women groups. Irregardless, until the Black male address our problem, the Black race is going nowhere. Oprah Winfrey opened up a school in South Africa wanting to help the black women there. But, if you forget the black male, then there is violence in the home and the educated black women suffers. It is the Black male that has to reform. The Black American male must change his attitude for his fellow brother or no positive change can come about.

I agree with you to an extent. While I agree the brothers need to get themselves together and sooner than later, I refuse to sit and what until they do. My life, my goals and my dreams are not predicated upon them getting themselves together. Its the same way all across the board, get it together or get left behind and thats what seems to be happening. I pray for my brothers all the time. i try to help and up lift them when i can but i cannot make them make that change. That is a decision they have to come to as adults, as MEN. Sometime we as black women cripple and handicapp our men cuz we baby them, always taking on the responsibilites they are supposed to be bearing. If you make it easy for him to it on his butt, do nothing but make babies then that is what he will do and nothing more. All this working 10 jobs while he 'chills' i s nonsense. Of course not all my brothers are like that and I salute those who handle their business. they need to speak to the others who are a hinderance not a help.
