Does it matter where Black Consumers Spend their Money?

I believe millions of dollar are spent on researching buying habits. This is probably one of the only most-effective ways to find buying markets. They know exactly what they're doing with this method. Whether african-americans can truly afford the majority of the things our money is spent on or not, many products are distributed directly to our communities because 'research has shown' that the demographic is there to purchase it.

Wow I am shocked at the replies on this topic is only two. Is that how we really feel about our black dollars not being spent in our community? We do not know the law of money. A must read book is richdad poor dad.

I had an ephiphany one day driving from Dallas, Tx and it hit on this topic...I went home and wrote a poem about it. It is amazing how we as a black community give so much of our buying power to other races, when we need to be the ones putting it back into our own neighborhoods. Where are the black owned grocery stores, department stores, banks etc? I am pretty sure there are some, however where? In Texas alone, it takes so much for us to open a business when we see other races opening stores and eateries etc like it is a normal routine. We need to be aware of where our money is going, we need to re-educate ourselves on finances and how to capitalize on that dollar. I know the economy is bad right now and we have to take stock in what we buy. We need to invest in stocks, bonds and invest in community coming together as a whole to bring about these changes...One can try but many can prevail.
