Prayer & Intercession - Who Gets It and Who Doesn't?
We as the "Body of Christ" have an assignment as we come into the knowledge of Christ and that is to pray & intercede. But for whom? Is it just for our Pastors, Bishop, First Ladies, Friends & Families (in & out of the Church), our four and no more. What about the story of the good Samaritan - which one are we reall...
The reason for the questions is this...
We in less than six months have lost now three (3) men in the entertainment world age 50 (Burnie Mac, Michael Jackson and just this morning Bill Mayes the maker of OxiClean was found dead in his bed by his wife)...
50 is the number of Jubilee - but how can the people of God be in Jubilee until we get this thing right!!!
We "Drop" the ball on several situations...I know you're wondering how...Here's how..As God has shown me over the years since 9/11 until now...9/11 could have been pervented, delayed or it could have less tragedy. But what happened the "Body of Christ" was too busy fighting against itself..We are still so divided every Sunday it don't make sense, but yet we say "we're practicing down here for when we get to heaven. Let's stop playing...There's no separation of races in heaven - no separate churches for difference races...We are bring illness to the "Body of Christ" and allowing the sins of the world to come in. How can we help others if we are allowing ourselves to let and act let the world. The word of God says in Romans 12:2(a) And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...
God also says to us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land".
This was spoken to the "Body of Christ" the "Believer - Born Again", - If My people - if you are born again then we are His people and have been called by His name - then He says will "Humble themselves" have we gotten to a place in "this world" that we can't humble ourselves before the mighty hand of God the one who made us, the one who called us into life - then He said "Pray & Seek His face" / what did Jesus say to Peter, James & John when He went to the garden to pray and He came back down and found them sleep "what you can't pray for just one hour"..some of us have been born again 3 - 20 years and we can't give God more than 15 minutes. How dare we, then we have nerves to ask for things, but the word says "seek His FACE" not His "HAND"...(2 hours & 40 mintues belong to God everyday in the first place. It's 10% of the 24 hr day that He grants you when He blesses you to breath every morning) Turn from our "WICKED WAYS" meaning that some of us got several ways that ain't pleasing to God but you think He can't see cause He's way up there...But His word says "I'll never leave you nor forsake you". He's always there...We can't continue in our sins and think that God is going to bless us. We have to turn from our wicked ways "Then and only Then" will He hear from heaven forgive our sin and heal the land....
What I'm saying or what the word of God is saying, is that, We drop the ball when it came to Burnie Mac, Michael Jackson and now Bill Mayes - but it hit more with Michael Jackson and I want you to know that it did hurt the heart of God, such a great & gifted creation lost because someone didn't intercede & pray for salvation for him. God forgive us!!!!
We talked about Michaels greatness, because we were proud of him. Then we talked about the bad and weird things he was doing. But did we every stop to interced for him that the spirit of God would come in and turn his life around. As much as he made an impact on the world with his music and giving - think of how he could have done if we would have prayed and he could have given his life to Christ. Think of how God could have used him to bring many to Christ.
It is time for us to stop just praying for our church families, pastor, bishops our four and no more. We are responsable to call out the names and intercede to those that God lays on our hearts no matter what their lifestyle is. We don't know what's going on behind close doors but God does. I'm not saying stop praying for our leaders - by all means we better continue to pray and intercede for them, but those in the entertainment world needs our prayer just as much. When 9/11 happen we not only allowed terroist in the natural to come in - but we allowed some spiritual terroist we've never dealt with came in and some of "Body" didn't see it and they are still trying to dig they're way from under the dirt and rubble. It was a spiritual invasion and it will continue until we as a people put everything aside, be on "ONE ACCORD AND PRAY, INTERCEDE FOR ONE ANOTHER"!!! It ain't about me, it ain't about you, But IT'S ABOUT THE GLORY OF GOD!!!
