My World
Welcome to my World!
I have always admired people who do not easily take offence...
Parrots are known for their outstanding mimicry abilities. Because they are so good at what there are doing, and being pets, they have always got away with bad behaviour. Humans have always found insults from parrots tolerable and fascinating, but the same humans will not take very kindly to insults by other humans, let alone violent behaviour. You are probably wondering what this has got to do with you
...Understandably so.
We were born into loving arms of our mothers, as cudly little bundles of joy and innocence. As we started to explore our environment, going further and further away from the warmth provided by our moms, we began to discover that life, after all, is not all smiles and bedtime lullabys. Mistrust, anger and frustration came in and we learnt we could blame others for our failures. We learnt to be violent, both to others and to ourselves and to mistrust even those with good intentions. Refusing to take offence is about accepting that, like parrot mimicry, every action has a good intention; it is our ability to interpret the intent of the action, that makes us better judges of others...because intent is what is behind human conflict..even our own internal conflict...These are just my thoughts - what are yours?
