Being in business for yourself

The topic I have been thinking on for weeks is why is that people don't want to be in business for themselves? As a small business owner I find that is something more people should consider doing. In this state of finacial down fall a business of your own is something that you should really look into. My company is deborah's lingerie and accessories. It is a company that is looking for 40 new recruits this month and the respresentatives are call dreammakers. It is a ommission based paid position where you earn 20% of sales and bonuses and you receive a commission on the fifteen of the month. But I would still like to know why people are hesitate about working for themselves. It is like working for wal-mart you go to work you get paid, you don't go to work you don't get paid. The same for working for yourself, You work your business you make money you don't work you don't get paid. Think about it.
