The current economic trend is causing families to re-think how they spend, what they are spending for and where they can save. Let’s start sharing our cost saving ideas with one another and encouraging other friends to share with their friends and so on. . .before things get critical, we can help one another come through this period with minimal negative impact. So let's get to work. . .We Can Do it!

Let's start a list, add to it, and keep it going (No duplications please)
1. Lower energy bill and consumption by replacing incandescent lights with he NEW
compact florescent spiral bulbs.
2. Turn off lights when leaving a room
3. Keep thermostat at a constant temperature 70 degrees Fahrenheit is a good year-round temperature
4. Try preparing meals for the week at the start of the week, especially when the
oven in involved
5. Shop weekly for fresh foods (fruits and vegetables) on sale
6. Shop for non-perishable foods in bulk, where possible
7. Buy local in-season fruits and vegetables from grow vendors
8. Save water- don't run water when not in use
9. If affordable and feasible for your current financial situation; install a solar energy
collector system

10. Purchase-Partner: Buying in bulk is economical when sharing the cost and the product with a partner. Waste is virtually eliminated.
