Christian Wives determined not to give up on their marriages...
I am a christian woman of God who has been married for almost 14 years. I will be the first to say that marriage is work. In addition, saying I want a divorce is an easy way out...but deciding you want to work through your problems will take work.
As a woman of God first, I have seen for myself and know what the power of prayer can do. I also know that having a relationship with God first is the most powerful weapon.
Maybe, your husband doesn't know God. Maybe your husband has had an affair. Both are not good, but God can guide you in being diligent in your prayer life for your husband's salvation. God will use the Christ in you to win your husband over to Him. God can guide you in forgiving him for the act of adultry. God can also speak to him and make it clear that having an affair is an unexceptable act. While he can also speak to you and tell you just as He (God) always forgives you for your sins, he will also forgive the person who committed adultry.
Are you prepared to fight for your marriage through the leading of the Holy Spirit? Or have you decided on your own that their is no hope?
In Christ,

Terri thanks for the blog and let me be the first to congratulate your marriage of 14 years which is quite an accomplishment for this day and age! My church recently decided to show the film "FireProof" to our congregation a few weeks ago and it was really a powerful film about the power of love in our marriages. I pray that you and your spouse grow to a ripe ole' seasoned age together and that you both will experience the joy of your children's children and their children.
