"DADSs GLASSES" (A Poem)
“Dad’s Glasses”
I hold the case
Not wanting to peep inside
A mixture of emotions encompass me
I click it open…
I remember how they looked
As they sat on the bridge of your nose
How you used to peer over the tops
How when you grinned they rose up a notch
So sometimes you had to push them back down abit
You’re not here anymore
But holding them
Wearing them for a moment
Makes me feel close to you again.
