The Hair Salon! Business or Personal????
Greetings sister's,
I have a question to ask you! When you visit the hair salon after a period of time does your relationship with you hair stylist remains business or does it shift to a personal relationship. I love all my clients when they hurt I hurt. Recently I had a client that our relationship turn to a personal relationship. Meaning that she became my girlfriend so I thought.I won't go all into the details but, one Friday I was running late. She was very upset and said allot of things in of other clients and hair stylist which upset me. Now I'm very fast so those few mins that she had to wait would have dissappeared when she sat in my chair. I told her that her friendship meant more to me than the money I would make from doing her hair. This client I have really looked out for her. I have allowed her to pay me at a later date after she got her hair done. I even helped get the job she has now. I was very hurt by her actions. But God showed me that she wasn't my friend nor the ideal client I needed to service. Now I'm trying to think about being more business and less personal with my clients. I look out for all my clients. Because I'm in the building up people business, not putting them down! Please Join The Hair Salon and let me know what you think! Have a blessed day.

Hello Angela, in an ideal Spiritual world we would put on our Armor every morning, right? Only the Spirit can warn us of un-godliness around us. There is no yes or no answer.
It has to be on a case by case basis. I have a "personal" relationship with my Stylist, but it's "personal" only when I am in her beauty shop--I have "credit" there but I only used the privilege once in 5 years! it was offered, because she hadn't seen me in a while. Anytime there is an exchang of money, you have to be careful, also her negative commnent about others, should have been kept between you and her, because we ALL say something about someone who we bump heads with.
My experience includes another stylist in the same salon who made the mistake of saying something stupid 5 years ago! andI have never interacted with her again, they know she cannot come near, yet I have never said anything else about her.
As long as they are not my stylists? I keep it private. But you answered it, you said "God showed me she wasn't my friend or an ideal client" Case closed the Boss has spoken.(smiles)
