Business Owners - Please Help

I am looking to start a new business in the field of Sport Entertainment. Can someone please help me with some information on what they did to start their business. I have a business plan that I actually started almost 20 years ago, but got side tracked in the corporate world. I was laid off in October and now have the time to truly focus on this business venture.
