Emotional Intelligence: How emotionally intelligent are you?
In my latest book entitled "Food for the Soul", I have a chapter dedicated to Emotional Intelligence (E.I.).
"Psychologists and Medical doctors have been proving that there are personal characteristics called emotional intelligence which are responsible for the ways we behave, how we feel, how we relate to others, how well we do at our jobs ad how healthy we are."
"Not knowing your emotional intelligence tendencies can result in being incompatible with other people, not being happy with your job, not succeeding at your job, and being physically unhealthy -with stress related problems."
Wonder how emotionally intelligent you are?
People with Low Emotional Intelligence, usually:
Carry grudges
Lay guilt trips on you
Judge you
Lecture you
Are insecure and defensive
Are not emotionally available
Do not consider your feelings before acting
People with High Emotional Intelligence, usually:
Are not dependent on others
Balance feelings with reason, logic and reality
Are able to read non-verbal communication
Are not dominated by negative emotions
Expect success
Don't internalize failure
Are comfortable talking about feelings
