If you see me and know I am in need
Don't just see me
Help me
Never pass judgment on my culture
But on my individuality
For my eyes have seen cultures and races destroyed by prejudice
I ask you to first acknowledge
The red blood that flows through your and my veins
And how it constitutes instant brotherhood
Recognize my creativity by what I produce from the brain
That holds the same shape, form, and cells as your own
Let the plea for continuous humanity spread like a deadly disease
Sent to seek out and destroy all that oppose its purpose
Understand my fight to end hate and bigotry
See it as salvation for all mankind
If we were blank
Would the current hate and prejudice exist?
Our God gave us life, love, and joy within us all
