A Bittersweet Victory

IS it just me or is this victory bittersweet? I fear for the safety of the First (Black) Family. I fear that our civil rights are going to be put to the test. All that our ancestors have fought for and we have had privilege to, is going to be tested. Fair Housing, Affirmative Action, EEOC, NAACP and etc. All of the laws and organizations that have been here to help us, is still here. But this generation has taken so much for granted. Obama gives us hope and just the historical number of voters this time shows that when we stick together--CHANGE HAPPENS. Just think if we could have stuck together during the last election, maybe just maybe, Bush would not have been re-relected. He was never really elected in the first place!!! But my people, please wake up. We must stick together. When you have money, prestige and power remember the little African-Americans. The white people (some) still see you as a Black person!!! CHANGE HAS COME, WE NEED TO START WITH OURSELVES FIRST!!!
