Due Date: December 15th, 2008
Judging by December 20th, 2008
Contest opened to all published and non-published writers who wish to try their luck.
FIRST PRIZE: $100, a certificate suitable for framing,
and the chance to publish your work
with OMNI for $300 (a $250 discount
from our regular fee).
SECOND PRIZE: $50, a certificate suitable for framing
and the chance to publish your work
for $350 ($200 discount).
THIRD PRIZE: A certificate suitable for framing and the
chance to publish your work for $400
($150 discount).
Accepted genres: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Poetry
Number of words: 3000, or three poems max.
ENTRY FEE: $20 per entry, per writer. A writer may enter his work two times if the genres are different.
We will base our decision on how well the work is written in general - and that includes creativity, grammar, writing mechanics, and syntax.
Entries may NOT have been presented to another contest in the past and must be fully finished works (not parts of a longer novel).
The writer keeps all the rights to his work. OMNI Book Publishing will make an antology of the best 10 works at no cost to the writer.
We will have three judges to evaluate the entries on December 20th, 2008, and the winning entries will be witnessed by Attorney Vivienne Dividier (vivi.dividier@gmail.com) who will notify the winners via email no later than December 22nd, 2008.
