Ebony Magazine - STOP IT! (2374 hits)

I remember reading something in the issue with Alicia Keys on the cover [in red] about CHANGE at the magazine. Mind you the Keys issue was disturbing enough as the layout included behind the scene photos of the photo shoot. African Americans were obviously absent in creating the cover. Is this the change?

For the last few issues, in reaching for my copy from the news rack, the cover has been some what startling. It’s like Ebony just purchased a copy of Photoshop and got to happy with it.

I've definitely noticed an artistic change of direction over at Ebony. I think the cover is becoming way too busy, with lots of crowded text and awkward uses of white space.

On the bright side, I've also noticed that their content is getting progressively better. The articles and interviews are more relevant and insightful, with a diversity of opinions. Well done.
