Kilpatrick may ask court to block Granholm’s removal hearing By Zachary Gorchow • Free Press Staff Writer • August 26, 2008
One of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s attorneys said this afternoon that the mayor is considering going to court to block the removal hearing against him ordered by Gov. Jennifer Granholm.
Sharon McPhail, the Kilpatrick administration’s general counsel, told reporters no decision has been made.
“We’re obviously going to look at all the options,” she said, reiterating her disappointment with the governor’s decision.
But she said the mayor and his legal team would be prepared for the hearing. “We’ll be very ready,” she said.
McPhail said no decision has been made about whether Kilpatrick would testify.
I am so disappointed in this brother i cannot see straight. if you are not ready not only to do your job correctly and represent your people correctly then SIT YOUR TAIL DOWN. if you are not ready to be the man/huband you are suppose to be and just acting on lust and greed THEN SIT YOUR BUTT DOWN AND GET A DIVORCE or SEEK SPIRITUAL COUNSOLING TO GET YOUR DEMONS IN CHECK . If you are not readLy handle the responsibilites that GOD had put in front of you and by that I mean tag into yourself to allow he that is in you shine brighter than you that is in the world THEN SIT YOUR BUTT DOWN. If i was his mother as old and big as he is I would get my belt. The last thing you do is not only SHAME yourself by along your mistakes to continue but shame others. He is still breaking laws. I feel as a people we should check each other. Listen to me, we love you , you are one of our own but you must SIT YOUR TAIL DOWN NOW AND THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO YOURSELF, TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST AND THE PEOPLE THAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD LEAD
