(Aug. 25) - A confrontation between authorities and Sean "Diddy" Combs' entourage led to some heat-brandishing drama in Los Angeles over the weekend, the New York Daily News has learned.
An LA County cop brandished his weapon after "fearing for his safety" during a contentious traffic stop involving the rap mogul and his group of associates. "The situation was deflated as quickly as it began," though, and Combs' spokeswoman said the gun was not pointed directly and the rapper.
The incident occurred at 3:15 a.m. Saturday after police stopped the car after noticing the rapper's rental car didn't have proper tags.
As the vehicle was being searched, one member of the entourage had to be detained after becoming uncooperative. The Daily News is reporting that Diddy and at least six others advanced toward the deputy, who then pulled out the weapon.
No tickets were issued because the car was a rental, and nobody was hurt during the incident.
