Narrow minded, nasty, negative people - they truly make me sick! (472 hits)
This is an awful comment someone made to a man who has recently adopted: " why did you do that? Are your kids special (meaning special needs, i.e. disabled, retarded, handicap, etc...)? You are not being fair to the children, you are in your mid 50's, do you know how old you will be when they turn 18 years old? You will be too old to play ball with them, etc". These comments were made far after the adoption.
I feel that whenever someone is selfless enough to take on the responsibility of someone elses child, even their own biological children, it is a blessing. Good, caring and loving parents do not deserve to be bombarded with ignorance. People can be so mean and cold hearted. Even if you are thinking this way, why make such an ugly comment to someone who has done such a beautiful thing. There is nothing more important than saving a child. Do you think that child will really care how old you are as he/she grows-up in a house filled with love. That is what is important. Why are people quick to say age is just a number when it comes to their own personal joy, but will use age against you when you are doing something positive for another. It makes me sick. Negaitive people make me sick. I cannot be around them. Be aware of the haters. Really, check it out one day. You can start your day off feeling good, laughing, smiling, etc. All it takes is for a couple of narrow minded negative people to hang around you for 5 minutes, next thing you know your spirit has died. Negativity, stick with your own kind. PLEASE!!!
