Yes, "Shaft is a bad......watch your mouth"! Loved it. I remember my H.S. Band, which I was a part of, playing Shaft at our football games. I went to a Catholic H.S. with very few black classmates and I tell you, the students at St. Marks loved Shaft. Whenever the band began to play THE SONG, everyone would jump to their feet, dancing and singing along. Those were the good old days. Mr. Hayes you touched many of us with your everlasting talent. You will never be forgotten.
