PLEASE HELP. NEED YOUR GREAT IDEAS!

· Wednesday, July 16th 2008 at 11:33PM · 839 views
I'll keep it short and sweet... I'm looking for ideas for a fun, clean, pre-wedding social. In other words, bachelor/bachelorette party- no male strippers or pole dance ideas please. Truly, what is a good way for friends to have fun and love on a bride or groom-to-be just before the wedding? Please let me know what you would have liked to do for your best friend, or what type of party you would have liked your friends to give you as a send off before your own wedding. If you want- break it down by age group(20-25,25-30,30-35)
Thanks.

Well, when my friend was getting married .. we all went on a trip. We went to Las Vegas for a 3 day excursion, but you can plan it anywhere, South Beach, Miami, Los Angeles, NYC, Hawaii and even Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands(*no passport needed*). A nice "girls only" trip or "boys" only trip seems nice. Just make sure this is planned out in advance so people can save up to go.

Don't laugh until you have thought about it for a minute. Children's games-Pin the tail on the donkey, a pinata, twist em, bobbing for fruit, etc. with adult focused prizes. Forget the separation of the genders, let the males and the females celebrate the union together. Have a "jumpin' the broom" celebration. Start a new tradition.

One of my friends gave me a sleep over with 12 of my closest friends. We were at a beach house.

Not sure if U had the Party but, the spa sounds great U can add a guy fashion show given by the clothing store of interest...(let the guys have class entertaining the Gurls...)

But U must do some club'in later with a Limo, and just travel the full first Class...

Enjoy

I think the spa idea was a good one.

The spa is a WONDERFUL idea! I got married last year and aside from a nice relaxing spa treatment, all of the ladies played a game with me where they each had to jot down a special memory that they shared with me - without using names - and I had to guess which person it was that I shared the memory with. It was fun because it went all the way back to childhood and high school times. Also, what my host did was divide the ladies into 2 groups, and each group had to make up a song that HAD TO contain information or words about me and my husband, and then perform/sing the song to me. The group that came up with the best song - got added in as an addition to my wedding program. It was SO special and sentimental. Ultimately I ended up choosing both songs and combined them into one.
