Adult Students Connect and fight high textbook prices (1419 hits)

Hi fellow students, let's put our heads together to fight the high prices of textbooks. If you know of a cheap source let us know, or perhaps we can find a way to trade or barter with each other. Have you heard of textbook rentals? There is a website at www.chegg.com that says you can save up to 80% off of the cost by renting your books. I'm not sure how the program works, but I'm sure you don't want to put highlighter in those books!

Thank you Tracye just "rented" a textbook for a class and it is $6.50 for the semester the used price at the bookstore was $46.00 I waited a little late and had to use priority shipping for$6.99 but with the price of gas, parking it is well worth it. I will be getting all my textbooks this way. Did you notice that they buy textbooks too? a good way to clean out the bookshelf and keep the earth green, for each textbook rented they will plant a tree. I am overjoyed at the savings my pocket and my planet. Thank you.
