HOW MARYLAND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY COUNCIL ANNOUNCES NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITY! (1077 hits)

For Immediate Release From Maryland Developmental Disability Council!

The Council Announces a New Funding Opportunity

The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council (Council) is excited to announce a new funding opportunity.

The Council wants to increase access to the availability of information, resources, and training for people with developmental disabilities and their families in underserved communities across Maryland. To do this, we want you to submit proposals to train and empower “cultural brokers” in specific communities. A cultural broker is a member of the community they work with. They build trust and connections between community members and the services and supports they need and want.

The Council set aside $150,000 for this project that starts October 1, 2023 and ends September 30, 2024. Proposals are due August 7, 2023.

An information session will be held on July 11, 2023 at 11:30am by Zoom.
