A large crane came falling down as construction workers were lifting it up in Manhattan. The enormous fall happened in the Tribeca neighborhood to a road junction. Many automobiles were crushed and smashed, and one man perished in while sitting in his automobile. Many office and or apartments were evacuated and at least five people were reported as missing. The crane's fall is was speculated to have been caused by a strong wind which carried it's weight to tumbling down. Many onlookers were asked to leave the scene and go home. Clean up may take several days or even several weeks.
