A strong earthquake toppled Chile's north coastal areas leaving top of buildings in ruins. Strong waves also washed ashore as the 8.3 quake shook down the cities and local villages. Many as 11 are reported dead, However the growth may heighten as many of the areas are being assessed. President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet is said to make plans to visit some of the hardest hit areas of the quake. There were some concern also that the quake may have trigged a tsuamani because of it's related force of power. Many are left homeless and are requiring some medical attention. The quake caused considerable damages as many buildings are in rumbles.
The quake also caused power outages leaving the capital city in a blackout. It was said the quake came around 7:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Many shoppers tried to take cover as they were in stores and many ran to find shelter. In addition to the earthquake's trauma in Illapel, some 1,800 residents were reported without water. Emergency and volunteers aid to assist those who may have injuries or those who may require help with evacuations that may result in case of a tsuamni.
