The opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2014 from Sochi was described as elaborate and beautiful. With beauty of fireworks and lights it's one that made tops on the list. After all the concern of whether Russia could pull it off, its doubts were laid at rest. The ceremony was one which will not be easily forgotten. Russia has proven so far to make its choosing up to standard despite of all the opposition of troubleshooting safety, clean environment and hospitality. Although some news leaked through about loose dogs, toilets, and rooms still undergoing construction as well as some of the completion of the competition areas Russia has and is giving it's best effort to make it happen. The celebration opening was a grand start.
In the celebration America has won it's first Gold Medal with Sage Kotsenburg picking up the pace in the slops topping his win in the Snowboard Slopestyle Final. Judges agreed that Sage landed with precise style and presidented as the winner. Sage's great start set highlight to the America's team as more heights of competitions are underway.
