Summer and Fall Internship Opportunities With TMI & Partners (5041 hits)

TMI & Partners, Ltd has internship openings for students who have an interest or experience in Marketing / Promotion and Public Relations. The program runs through the summer, and fall semesters. Candidates must be available at least 15 hours a week.

To apply, students must complete the following:

• Sign-up on HBCULinkup.com. Include Pix and complete Bio
• (500 word blog) explaining:
  • “Why I want to working in Marketing and Promotions” or
  • “Why I want to work in Public Relations.”

Applicants granted interviews must show:

• Proof that they are a senior currently in High School or
• Proof that they are presently enrolled in college

Responsibilities:

• Research small business marketing and promotion trends
• Assisting the content development team with updating several websites
• Communicating and interacting with small businesses across the country
• Communicate with colleges and high schools
• Post Twitter / Facebook and Blogs announcements

Basic Qualifications:

• Must currently be a senior in HS or enrolled in college
• Access to a computer, phone and Skype connection
• Works well in a team setting and takes direction
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Have a strong urge to learn and improve
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of technology trends and online services
• Proficient with (Word/Excel/ PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with leading social media and blogging platforms

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in journalism, marketing, or communications
• Basic knowledge of photography or videography
• Spanish fluency (is a plus)
