Jarrett Carter, Sr.,(HBCU Digest)
Nicholas M. Perkins (Perkins Management Services Company)
and many other student and executive leaders in the HBCU & PBI
communities, their stakeholders and allies

in Washington, D.C. on the west grounds of the U.S. Capitol on Tuesday, April 16th as we PUSH Back against draconian cuts in funding and other congressional and administrative assaults on HBCUs, MSIs, their students and the pipeline of programs that prepare, inspire, and connect students to colleges and opportunity. Programs at risk include: WIC, Healthy Start, Head Start, SNAP, Early Childhood Education, TRIO Program, GEAR UP, the Pell Grant Program, other need-based financial aid programs, Work Study, Student Loan Interest Rate Hikes, Parent Plus Loan Program Constrictions of “Creditworthiness,” MSI Technology, MSI housing partnership program and assaults on other student early start, preparation, information, inspiration, persistence and graduation initiatives. Join leaders and supporters of HBCUs in PUSHING for a balanced and equitable approach to investing in higher education, and investing in students and families to make the nation strong and the workforce diverse, competent, competitive, and compassionate.
