Crowds of thousands were anticipating a moment of poetry which was presented in good taste. Richard Blanco stood poised as he read his word creation titled One Today. The somewhat soft toned poet spoke skillfully and with assurance in delivering words that showed reflections of life's situations. Blanco was born in Spain and resides in the United States and has published three books of poetry. He made historic memories by being a first openly homos*xual poet and first of Latino heritage to speak at an president's inauguration. This is the second poet chosen to speak at the President's Obama's inauguration. Maya Angelo is also known for having the inaugural poet's moment in time.
