While what is depicted in the cartoon is true for the majority of actors in the economy, there are those that benefit from government intervention rather than suffer. These are mainly the corporate allies of the State and other assorted crony scum. The way to solve both problems is to end government intervention, but for some the idea of a life without suffering would be too difficult. After all, opponents of emancipation did make a similar argument, that if the slaves were freed life would be too difficult and they would all die without a master to control them
